Colusa County 4-H is now offering various program and curriculum to teachers in our local schools! We offer various STEM related curricula and hands on activities to help enhance your classroom experience.

 

Popular curriculum/kits we have available are: 

 

Entomology in the Classroom - This 5 kit series teaches students about the fascinating world of insects and their life cycles. Each kit contains the 4-H Teaming with Insects curriculum (grades 3-12), live insects, and all the supplies necessary to raise them through their full life cycle right in your classroom! Junk Drawer Robotics: Robots on the Move - Junk Drawer Robotics emphasizes different aspects of robotics while youth build their own robots and develop robotics knowledge and skills. You will design and build machines that roll, slide, draw or move underwater and explore robot mobility – movement, power transfer and locomotion!

Grades 3-12

 

 

 

The Power of Wind - Throughout The Power of the Wind curriculum, you will guide youth to use the engineering design process to find solutions to problems related to wind power. Youth work on teams to analyze problems and find solutions that balance options and constraints. They test what they’ve made to see how it works, then make adjustments and test further, as necessary.

Grades 6-8
