Virtual Format via Zoom Technology
This event is open to all 4-H'ers allowing youth to exhibit their communication and public speaking skills. Members plan and create a presentation with assistance from the California 4-H Presentation Manual. Pre-registration is required and 1 Adult evaluator per 5 members (or fraction of) is required by each club participating. This event is sponsored by the Colusa County 4-H Council.

If you are interested in helping us at County Presentation Day, we have a few areas we still need help in:
- Evaluator – Help evaluate the youth’s presentations and give constructive critiques (training is provided)Evaluator sign up.
- Room Host-Introduce the presenters and help them as needed. Room Host sign up
Each club is required to have at least 1 volunteer for every 5 members participating in this event.

- DEMONSTRATION (1-3 Presenters) Doing or showing how you make something. There is a final product.
- ILLUSTRATED TALK (1-3 Presenters) Telling how with visuals aids, where you use charts, posters, photos, etc.

- SCIENCE OR ENGINEERING PRESENTATION (1-3 Presenters) Focuses on making sense of the world by constructing knowledge or finding a suitable solution to a problem by weighing design choices.
- EDUCATIONAL DISPLAY TALK (1-2 Presenters) Organized visual presentation of a program or a concept. A display or visual should be designed to convey its message in a limited amount of time.

- INFORMATIVE PREPARED SPEECH (1 Presenter) Speaker will write and deliver their own speech that will inform or educate the audience on a single issue or topic.

- PERSUASIVE PREPARED SPEECH (1 Presenter) Sway, convince, and influence the audience; politics and religion are not appropriate speech topics.

- IMPROMPTU SPEECH - Must be 11 years old or older. (1 Presenter) Developed Speech that the speaker has developed at Presentation Day within a three-minute preparation.

- INTERPRETIVE READING (1 Presenter) Speaker may read any publication written work that is age appropriate and acceptable for use in a public school classroom.

- SHARE THE 4-H FUN SKITS (2 Presenters minimum;no maximum) Groups perform acts such as skits and other presentations that focus on health, safety, community pride, citizenship, science, engineering, or technology or other 4-H projects.
